Component Specific Warranty Policies
Components with “Raw” finishes (raw unpainted or treated)
When buying RAW finish products please note that it is totally uncoated and this means that it will go rusty quite quickly.
We recommend the use of wire wool on a regular basis to clean out the rust that will form (especially during wet or damp conditions). Once you have cleaned off the rust, spray with light oil such as WD40 & rub into the products surface with a cloth.
Alternatively you can lacquer the product or even paint it.
Please note, that we DO NOT warranty ANY product where paint stripper has been used to remove paint. Paint stripper is acid and it WILL affect the properties of the metal in the component (especially on heat treated frames) and significantly increase the chances of your frame cracking.
We will also not warranty any component/part where it’s clear that rust has contributed to its failure.
Wheels, Rims and Tyres
Braking Surfaces are prone to normal wear and tear during normal use of the bike and any paint or coating in this area will wear during normal use of the brakes and is not covered by the warranty
Please note the wheels supplied as standard with complete bikes are only warranted with the original specification tyre or only be inflated to the pressure stated on the original fitment tyres if replacements are used
Modifications from Standard
Different manufacturers have differing policies on what modifications they will accept when processing a warranty claim, please check with the shop before undertaking any modifications to your bike to ensure that it will not adversely affect your warranty.
